I smiled. "So, you like to be in charge?"
"I don't like to be in charge." He pushed me down on the bed. "I am in charge.
Cash, class, and a healthy dose of bad.
My name is Tara and I’m in trouble. Bad trouble. My coked-out ex-boyfriend just happens to be a Mafioso and he’s got it out for me. I can’t help it that men can’t keep their hands off a sexy Manhattan model like myself.
That’s where he comes in. He’s…
INSATIABLE
Boss. That’s the only name he gives me. The only thing I can call him. I don’t know anything about him, besides the fact that he’s rich as sin. And he’s got a body that, well… I’ll embarrass myself if I tell you how much I like it.
Almost as much as I like his desires. Dark as the night. But who is he? He won’t even let me see his face—but either way, I feel like I’m drowning in him, as he molds me into his plaything…

Sorry, but this one was not for me. I only tend to purchase books rated 4 stars or higher. This one had a high rating, and despite several reviews mentioning how unlikable the main characters are, despite the reviews mentioning how he degraded and humiliated her, against my better judgement, I went ahead and purchased. Bad decision. Don't judge a book by its cover. The guy on the cover is hot and the title leads you to believe the book is hot, but no. First of all Tara (pronounced with a J not a Y? What? This was in the book several times, as mentioned by other reviewers) was not a character I could relate to or identify with at all. The main character, Tara, came across as trashy and basic. I couldn't even feel sorry for her when she mentioned being scammed by photographers into doing porn. I mean, she just kept going along with everything they suggested even though she knew it wasn't what she signed up for. She could've walked out at anytime when she realized what was happening, but kept going along with it, with tears in her eyes, knowing they were taking advantage of her while they filmed her...... ugh, no. I understand she was young, but where was her common sense? People only treat you the way you allow them. People can only do to you what you allow. I didn't think much of her when she was so quick and ready to sleep with a random man she didn't know who wouldn't tell her his name or even let her see his face. The first clue this guy was sketchy. So we meet "Boss" and things just get worse. At first he seemed ok. He helped her get healthy, off drugs, exercising, eating food, etc. But the things he said and did to her sexually, degrading, abusing, debasing, humiliating her, calling her names, slut being the "nicest" of them. I was not here for it. And of course, she allowed it all, even enjoyed it, so there's that. I don't buy the "love" there at all. I still say what he feels for her is lust. No man who was in love would treat a woman he loved like Boss treated Tara. What people do in private behind closed doors is their own business. Whatever. To each his own. But when he humiliated her and beat her publicly at a party in front of his colleagues, it was too much. First, I didn't like that all the women at the party were basically slaves, toys, whatever, for the men. But I guess that's a common thing in the bdsm books. It is what it is, I guess. "Boss" degrades her sexually in front of his friends (as all the men at the party are doing to their female companions), humiliates her by mentioning the porn she did and beats her when she said something he didn't like. That ain't love. The woman at the party who brought him the whip had to warn him not to be too rough cause they didn't want to have to call an ambulance. What? And of course, Tara continues to go along with all of it. She should've left soon as soon as he made her undress at the party, but she definitely should've got dressed and walked out when he brought up the video. "Boss" comes across like an abusive, insecure, sociopath. He admitted to cyber stalking a girl he had a crush on at 10 and became obsessed with, but was too insecure or scared to just tell her how he felt and hid behind masks for weeks. Dude, you're a billionaire. Stop hiding, man up and just tell her you want her. I found myself feeling like these two deserved each other and only wanted them together simply to spare anybody else from having to deal with them. None of the love scenes were hot, imo and I thought it was weird when Tara randomly told her mom she had a "boyfriend" (uh, this is not a relationship, you're just his sex toy). I mean she hasn't even seen his face and he refuses to tell her his name, but she's telling her mom he's her boyfriend? Then when mom asks his name, she realizes her screw up and has to "George Glass" it and make up a name and a story about a Jamaican DJ named Boston who goes by "DJ Boss". It was kinda funny, but come on. Why even mention him to her mother at all? There were some redeeming qualities in "Boss", they mentioned that he went to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to help out and teach classes at the Super Dome. Being from Louisiana, I appreciated that and it added some realism by talking about real events. "Boss" also said something early on about the world not appreciating anything not created by white people when he was telling Tara about the African tribal mask he was wearing. I appreciate the author addressing that reality. But it's still not enough to make me overlook "Boss"'s horrible treatment and view of women. One thing I got is there's a lesson in this story. Teach your sons to respect women and teach your daughters to not allow themselves to be disrespected and abused by males (I refuse to call guys like this men). I wish I could get a refund and delete this one from my kindle. This one's a one time read, I won't be coming back to it. 2 stars for the title and the cover.Product details

Insatiable A Dark Billionaire Romance edition by Sophia Desmond Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This was an ok read. The main character, Tara, was unlike able and at times annoying to read. The plot was dark yet entertaining, Boss only wants to help, his true characters was likable. It was hard for me to enjoy it since the main character was so unlikable. Overall not a bad read - worth the time once has been edited. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book.
I am an ARC reviewer? I really enjoyed this book even though the plot was similar to others I have read. The story is about a self-centered single minded billionaire and his need for a fake bride. His personal assistant quits due to his arrogance and impossible attitude. A few twists but nothing that isn't expected but it's a cute story and I recommend that you read it .
***I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.*** I'm pretty sure this is the first book I've read by Sophia Desmond, but it definitely won't be the last! I'm not even sure how to really review this without giving things away, so I'll just say it's good! It definitely kept my attention and I'd find myself reading "just one more page" when I really needed to be doing other things. You should definitely give it a shot.
The plot was great, but in my opinion, the overall sexual “tone” of the book was a bit much for me. I enjoyed that the hero went after the heroine with everything he had, but when he got her, he seemed to be punishing her for not loving him years ago. I thought the book was well written, just a bit too intense for the basic story. I’m glad I had the opportunity to read this story and I do look forward to reading more from this author in the near future. 3 1/2 Stars
This is a dark romance with sexual content. There were aspects of the book that i liked and others that i found lacking and didn't like. The author leaves little clues throughout the story that lead you to the ending but the clues can be missed and you wont miss out on anything. I can deal with editing errors to an extent but if your the type of person who can't continue through a book due to mistakes you may want to try it as a sample before purchasing. Overall I did like the book regardless of the errors and will definitely try another book from this author.
I enjoyed this book.
Model Tara has been two-timing her boyfriend and he tells her that he is going to kill her. Maybe she shouldn't have upset a mafia prince. Tara's agent makes a deal for her to stay with an anonymous billionaire who has been expressing an interest in her for some time. Boss wants to stay anonymous so he wears a mask whenever he is with Tara. Boss arranges for Tara to have a medical checkup, a visit with a nutritionist, and training with Boss's personal trainer. All of this improves Tara's health and her ability to cope with what Boss wants.
Will Tara find out who Boss is? What is going to happen to her?
A Review of Insatiable by Sophia Desmond
OMG - great storyline - 4 stars
This of course, was the first book I've read by Ms. Desmond. Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and the many twists that she used to keep me on the edge of my seat. My main issue has to do with soooo many grammatical issues, which happen to be my biggest pet peeve for any author. Hopefully for any future books, the use of a good proofreader will be utilized to resolve those types of issues. I enjoyed it enough to purchase it as well, after reading the Advanced Reader Copy.
**Honest review voluntarily provided from a Complimentary Copy, that was also purchased**
